Pancit Malabon

Pancit Malabon
is a Filipino noodle which originated in Malabon. This is one of my favorite pancit and my mom cook it best for me. There are lots of food that can be placed as toppings such as shrimps, oysters, squid, egg, vegetables, dried fish and pork.

I like it better with rice cake as the saltiness and the sweetness of the two when combined is yummy! Why am I posting about this today? It’s because when I was at Patient First Glorietta, the nurses there are eating this food and the smell made me crave for it!

I was planning to buy one from Amber’s but wasn’t able to because I was in a hurry to go home. Oh well, I’ll just satisfy my cravings tomorrow.

Pancit Pato

One of the twins’ yaya is from Iloilo. An eighteen year old girl, she likes Twin A, pitying her whenever hubby gets mad at her (yes, hubby scolds the babies even if they are months old, saying they can understand us already). We treat her as our kid as well, giving advices when needed. Saturday is her day off so today, she’ll be going to Bulacan in her sister’s house. She said she’s excited for tomorrow because she’ll be bring back a pancit pato. I asked her “what? is it a noodle soup made from pato?”  (pato = duck in English). She said no, but the brand of the noodle is “pato”. I can’t help but laugh. I thought the noodle was made from a duck, flattened and all, LOL!

She said ate Marilyn (the all-around helper) will be the one to cook it. According to them, it’s very yummy. I can’t wait to taste it. I love noodles!
