It is common for kids to have head lice, especially when they are always under the sun. But my daughter, who doesn’t go out everyday, have become infected with it. I am using the term infected because I think it is like a virus that easily spreads. I saw a head louse on her shirt. I was shocked to see that and thought, “how could she have that?”. Then I realize it could have come from the new babysitter. I then asked her if she have head lice and she said yes. I immediately asked the helper to buy a nit comb and a head lice shampoo. But, I didn’t use the lice shampoo as I’m afraid she might get allergic reactions to it. Instead, hubby suggested to use Head & Shoulders or Clear Shampoo. Our helper and babysitter sleeps on the same bed but she didn’t get head lice because she uses these anti-dandruff shampoo. Hubby concluded that could be it.
That day, I give my daughter a bad using Head & Shoulders for her hair. We also asked the babysitter to use it to test and so far it’s been effective. The head lice in my daughter’s hair are gone. Same with the babysitter. We can therefore conclude that using anti-dandruff shampoo can reduce or totally eliminate head lice. You can try it too and see if it’s effective.
