I’ve never really liked durian not only because of its smell, but also because of the taste. It’s strong that even after I’ve only eaten or tasted a small amount, the taste lingers. Here in the Philippines, durian is abundant in Davao. This is the fruit featured during Kadayawan Festival.
I’ve tasted the actual durian fruit because I have no choice. I was asked by my friend’s mom to taste it. I told her it’s yummy even if it isn’t! I like the durian pie, durian ice cream and durian candy better than the actual fruit.
My other friends liked it though and say it’s yummy but I just can’t relate to them. Maybe it’s just an acquired taste, huh? How about you? Do you like durian?
Pancit Malabon is a Filipino noodle which originated in Malabon. This is one of my favorite pancit and my mom cook it best for me. There are lots of food that can be placed as toppings such as shrimps, oysters, squid, egg, vegetables, dried fish and pork.
