Craving for Egg Sandwich

I’m posting this as I wake up. I’m so hungry and the first food that came into my mind was egg sandwich! I love any food with eggs such as egg mcmuffin, egg pie, egg salad, eclair, egg in fried rice, omelette and more. I can also eat it boiled and if I’m being health conscious, I remove the yolk and just cook the white part.

Anyway, back to my egg sandwich craving, I’m planning to make one since it’s very easy to make. Many people already know how but I’ll still post how to make one.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 small bottle of mayonnaise
  • pickle relish
  • around 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • pepper
  • salt

Procedure

  • Boil the eggs for about 10 minutes. Peel and chop after cooling it with cold running water.
  • Add mayonnaise, pickle relish, onion, pepper, dash of salt and mix.

That’s it! Quite easy, right? I prefer to put it in wheat bread with some tomatoes and lettuce. I’m hungry! Bye for now!

Do You Like Durian?

I’ve never really liked durian not only because of its smell, but also because of the taste. It’s strong that even after I’ve only eaten or tasted a small amount, the taste lingers. Here in the Philippines, durian is abundant in Davao. This is the fruit featured during Kadayawan Festival.

I’ve tasted the actual durian fruit because I have no choice. I was asked by my friend’s mom to taste it. I told her it’s yummy even if it isn’t! I like the durian pie, durian ice cream and durian candy better than the actual fruit.

My other friends liked it though and say it’s yummy but I just can’t relate to them. Maybe it’s just an acquired taste, huh? How about you? Do you like durian?

Pancit Malabon

Pancit Malabon
is a Filipino noodle which originated in Malabon. This is one of my favorite pancit and my mom cook it best for me. There are lots of food that can be placed as toppings such as shrimps, oysters, squid, egg, vegetables, dried fish and pork.

I like it better with rice cake as the saltiness and the sweetness of the two when combined is yummy! Why am I posting about this today? It’s because when I was at Patient First Glorietta, the nurses there are eating this food and the smell made me crave for it!

I was planning to buy one from Amber’s but wasn’t able to because I was in a hurry to go home. Oh well, I’ll just satisfy my cravings tomorrow.

Cheesecake

Who wouldn’t want a cheesecake? I love any kind of cheesecake but my favorite is an oreo cheesecake. It’s one of my favorite food and I think the only food I’m good with is making it (no-bake only though).  But when I go out, I prefer the going to Cheesecake Etc. for some slices of cheesecake where my favorites are New York cheesecake and Mango Passion.

Anyway, I just want to share with you my recipe of No Bake Oreo Cheesecake:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Magnolia Cream Cheese
  • 1 pack Nestle All Purpose Cream (chilled)
  • 1 pack Nestle Fresh Milk
  • 1 envelope Unflavored Gelatin
  • 1 cup of Graham crackers (powdered)
  • Crushed Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup butter

Procedures:

  • Place the crumbs of Graham crackers in a round container put a small amount of butter in it and mix. The butter is used so that the crumbs will be intact.
  • Melt the cream cheese in a stove.
  • In another bowl, place the Nestle Fresh Milk and Unflavored Gelatin and mix them until the gelatin dissolves. Heat them in a stove in low fire.
  • Mix the Magnolia Cream Cheese and Milk with Gelatin in a bowl and put the All Purpose Cream while mixing.
  • Place the filling in a round container with Graham crackers and chill for an hour
  • Place the crushed Oreo cookies then chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Baked Foods

I like eating baked foods. Not only they are healthy because these foods are low in fat, but they are really yummy as well. I think nothing can go wrong if the food is baked.

Among the baked foods I like are ziti, lasagna, macaroni, ribs, potato and chicken. I haven’t tried mac and cheese but once I could afford to buy an oven, that’s the first thing I would do. I really want to learn how to bake a cake too. These are a must in my goals this year, to be able to save for oven and learn how to bake.
