One of the first Korean movies that I’ve watched is My Sassy Girl. It is a South Korean romantic comedy starring Jun Ji-hyun and Cha Tae-hyun. It was the story of how the two met each other and how Cha Tae-hyun as Gyeon-woo always ends up saving Ji-hyun, who was unnamed in the movie.
The movie was really funny with the girl always bossy and try to dominate Gyeon-woo. It turned out in the end that the girl has a deceased boyfriend and that they are actually being paired by his boyfriend’s mom, who is Gyeon-woo‘s aunt.
I love the songs especially the “Canon in D” when the girl played in in the piano. The “I Believe” song is even translated in Tagalog, even this movie, which I watched with my boyfriend.
There was also Windstruck after this but I didn’t watch it though since I know the ending is sad. It was because of this movie that I began to love watching Korean telenovelas and got me addicted to it.
