I went to the mall for some shopping. I brought DK and ate M, the babysitter with me. We went first to Zara to see if there are some items I can buy. There are, but the long sleeves are quite expensive and I was a bit embarrased because ate M has been saying “ang mahal naman nito!” (this is so expensive!). Every store we went, she says that. She’s been asking me “how much?” too. Because of this, I felt uneasy and wasn’t able to buy any. Instead, I decided to asked them to go to SM and that’s where I was able to buy some clothes.
Next time, I’ll go shopping alone. I feel uneasy shopping with ate M because I don’t want her to know how much the clothes are because I know she can’t even buy her own. She won’t even buy even if I offer to buy one for her. I’ll be able to shop properly too without thinking of DK.
I came from a middle income earning family. I studied in a public school in college and my allowance was limited. Usually, me and my friends share viands during lunch at school and bought one liter of soda. Our snacks are usually street foods. Now, I’m married and can’t eat street foods because of my kids. Here are the foods that me and my friends used to eat:
- hotdogs – three pieces of small hotdogs with no brand costs P10 taht time.
- squid balls and kikiam – three pieces sliced into small parts also costs P10
- quail eggs covered in flour (kwek-kwek) – I used to eat it with sweet and sour sauce
- chicken intestine – i love it!
- corn in a cob – i can still eat this up to now though
- Wendy’s macaroni salad – me and my friends used to share Wendy’s macaroni salad, where customers where the one to make it. There were nine of us sharing in two orders of this salad.
I just never tried eating a one-day-old chick, LOL!
Google doodle is celebrating the 76th birthday of Roger Hargreaves. Who’s the guy? He’s an English author and illustrator of children’s books like Mr. Men, Little Miss, Walter Worm, John Mouse and a few more books that are simple and with silly stories.
His books are mostly drawn in illustrations and is sold around the world. Hmmm, I’ll get one of his books at a book sale later.
To all the mom’s out there, may you enjoy this day even if the whether is gloomy. Relax and pamper yourself coz this day only happens once in a year.
It’s just the second work day of the week but I already feel like I’m so tired and have been working for long hours this week. I feel like I’m working non-stop. There are lots of paper works to do that I think I won’t be able to finish it until Friday. Am I burned out?
Maybe I am and being burnt out isn’t not good for the health. I don’t know why maybe I’m stressing out myself too much? Oh well, I’d better go to the salon and pamper myself. Doing something that make one feel better can help lower down the stress level.
I’ll have a hair cut and foot spa this weekend, promise!
